1. What’s the fitness level required for this trip?
Light to Moderate:
Most activities involve short walks or climbing a few steps, such as in temples and city tours.
Some excursions, like the Mount Fuji and Kyoto Highlights tours, require moderate walking on comfortable terrain.
2. What is the cancellation policy?
Flexible cancellation is available for bookings canceled before March 15, 2025, with refunds provided as travel credit. Terms and conditions apply.
3. Are all transfers included?
Transfers between airports, hotels, and activity meeting points may not always be included.
For instance:
- You’ll need to self-transfer to meeting points for guided tours in Tokyo.
- Airport transfer is only included for flights departing after 9 a.m. (earlier flights require self-arranged transportation).
4. What does the Japan Rail Pass cover?
The 7-day Japan Rail Pass provides access to:
- JR trains and bullet trains (except Mizuho and Nozomi).
- JR bus lines.
- Ferry to Miyajima Island.
- You’ll need to activate your pass on Day 5 at a major JR station.
5. Are meals included?
Meals are provided during specific activities, such as:
- Japanese lunch on the Tokyo and Mount Fuji tours.
- Buffet lunch on the Kyoto Highlights tour.
Additional meals are not included but can be enjoyed at local markets or restaurants.
6. What accommodation can I expect?
Charm-category hotels:
- Located in convenient areas for exploring each city.
- Accommodations may vary, but all are selected for quality and comfort.
Note: Some hotels in Japan have limited non-smoking rooms, which may not always be guaranteed.

7. What is the policy on luggage?
- Baggage allowance matches the international flight restrictions (2 checked bags per person).
- Trains in Japan also accommodate this allowance without additional fees.
8. Are there any additional taxes or fees?
Local taxes may apply, such as:
- Hiroshima's 100 JPY tourist tax when boarding the ferry to Miyajima Island.
- Accommodation taxes paid directly at hotels.
9. What if I have special needs or reduced mobility?
While this is a semi-escorted tour, please contact us if you have mobility concerns or require wheelchair assistance. Adjustments can be made where possible.
10. What are the visa and documentation requirements?
- Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months after your planned return date.
- No visa is required for U.S. citizens for short stays in Japan.
- If traveling via countries like Taiwan, check transit requirements.
11. What happens if activities are canceled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances?
The order and duration of excursions may change without prior notice for safety or logistical reasons. Alternative experiences will be provided where possible.
